The term group home has historically been a wide-ranging and continuously changing one over the past few decades. Initially, group homes were assisted living programs for mentally or physically disabled people from all over the US., including those living in the Azusa, CA area.

First, teens are given the practical opportunity to learn how to proactively and healthily function in a family unit, which is an invaluable skill set for when they are ready to return to their natural homes in real life. Second, the relatively small number of staff and other students provide teens from Azusa, CA to engage in intensive therapy more one-on-one.
