THE PROMISE: GOD WANTS YOU TO MAKE TIME FOR HIM

He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all you mind. This is the greatest and most important commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38 HCSB

When it comes to spending time with God, are you a “squeezer” or a “pleaser”? Do you squeeze God into your schedule with a prayer before meals (and perhaps, if you manage to find the time, with a quick visit to church on Sunday)?

Or, do you please God by talking to Him far more often than that? If you’re wise, you’ll form the habit of spending time with God every day: When you do, it will change your life. Is changing your life something you are willing to do?

Or, is it something that you are unwilling to do? If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always got. This is known as the IYADWYHADYWAGWYHAG acronym.

What's it going to take to take this small but important step towards your Creator?

When you begin each day with your head bowed and your heart lifted you remind yourself of God’s love. His protection, and His commandments. And if you are wise, you will use your prayer time to align your priorities for the coming day with the teachings and commandments of God’s holy Word.

The Bible asks that you give your undivided attention to God at least once a day every day. Even if you’re the busiest woman on planet Earth, you can still carve out time for God. It is only a matter of willingness or unwillingness. The choice is yours.

“Are you weak? Weary? Troubled? Pressured? How is your relationship with God? Is it held in its place of priority? I believe the greater the pressure, the greater you need for time alone with Him.” - Kay Arthur

Our Prayer: Dear Lord, let your priorities be my priorities. Let Your will be my will. Let Your Word be my guide, and let me grow in faith and in wisdom this day and every day. Amen.
