YOU ARE CLEANSED Part 1 (page 2)

Everything that man would EVER need, everything that was GOOD, God made in the first five days. After each day of creation, God declared “it was good.”

“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27

The number “5” means Grace. God created everything man would EVER need in the first 5 days of creation. Man was fully supplied with EVERYTHING before God made man. Grace is the absolute goodness of God, and the Father made ALL of it for man. The first Adam forfeited it all, and fell from Grace, while the second Adam, Jesus, redeemed it all and gave it back to us as a free gift that can NEVER BE TAKEN FROM US.

“how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Hebrews 9:14

Jesus came to earth to re-establish God’s Kingdom of absolute goodness, thus resetting HIS STANDARD OF GOOD. What’s really good, amongst many, many really good things, is a clean conscience. Having a cleansed conscience IS EVERYTHING.

What exactly is “cleansed,” and why is it “good”?

“let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22

For those in Christ, EVERYTHING IS CLEANSED, literally, and it’s all due to the Grace of God. As stated several times before, by Grace, our conscience IS cleansed.

“For our proud confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you.” 2 Corinthians 1:12

But why is this so important, and why do we need to KNOW THAT WE ARE CLEANSED?

“Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience’ sake.” Romans 13:5

GRACE CAME! The Grace of God has a nature. For one, Grace always supplies and always comes in waves. Grace came, and Grace comes, and it replaces itself repeatedly, perpetually, for all of eternity.

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.” John 1:14, 16-18

Grace comes with the ever-lasting mercy and love from God our Father, especially for those who don't deserve it. GRACE is unearned and undeserved, a free gift that sets us free. By Grace, our conscience is cleansed, and to God our Father, this is good!

“but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:2 

Because of Jesus' blood, we are CLEAN and perpetually CLEANED, once and for all. By Grace, Jesus shed His blood for us to be clean. Additionally, we are fully empowered by Grace, wave after wave of Grace, making us perpetually CLEANSED and EMPOWERED. Grace IS SUPPLY, it NEVER demands anything, and it’s always FREE. Grace comes in waves; once they start, they never end - that’s Grace! ASK GOD NOW FOR MORE GRACE!

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.” Romans 8:18-19

When we are BORN AGAIN, we are CLEANSED completely and totally forever. CONSEQUENTLY, WE BECOME SONS OF GOD. It’s that simple, and we don’t do anything whatsoever. Moreover, we don’t deserve any of it, just the opposite. That’s why it’s called God’s Grace.

“Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” 1 Peter 3:21

Once our conscience is cleansed by GRACE, when we actually RECEIVE it, we also receive God’s JOY and HIS PEACE. No more hindrances are coming at us from a sinful conscience because we are cleansed - SIN HAS BEEN DEALT WITH. That means God’s goodness can flow in us and through us like rivers of living water.

Acts 4:33 "And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all."
